More than a Mission Statement

This is not only the NSTU mission statement but of importance to all members who enter our profession, as it is our calling. Teachers/Specialists hold this issue close to their heart, working day in and day out to find ways to improve the lives of our students.

But WE cannot do this alone. The top down system that we currently work under is an injustice to the system. Having been a local president these past 4 years and witnessing the many obstacles that members face, which is directly related to this current top-down system.

As your NSTU President it will be my goal to provide real autonomy back to our members. And that real concerns from our members are heard and addressed by the current government.
